FOUNDATION OF THE HEART
What I struggle with the time it takes to hear back from God. I know intellectually that His response is based on His perfect timing but sometimes I treat Him like a vending machine. I tend to multitask a lot of things and my time with Him seems to be included on this list. I should create an uninterrupted time to really seek Him and hear Him but I allow the busyness to conflict my appointment time. I believe also that sin gets in the way to prevent us from getting a clear connection and if worrying is a sin...I worry about my work situation, family situation, and whether I'm invested in the right things to fulfill God's unique purpose for me.

I too also let many of the daily tasks get in the way of quality time spent with God. Reading his word and praying all seem secondary to me which isn't right. It should be first. I need to take heed of the passage when Jesus said that I need to seek first his kingdom and righteousness and all other things shall be added to me.
